Vice President Kamala #Harris tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, according to her office.
Harris, is fully vaccinated and received a booster shot in October, is asymptomatic, the White House said. She is the highest-ranking administration official to contract the virus so far.
Harris spokesperson Kirsten Allen said “Today, Vice President Harris tested positive for COVID-19 on rapid and PCR tests,” in a statement to the press.
“She has not been in close contact with the President or First Lady due to their respective recent travel schedules,” Allen added.
